Samsung is expanding its Galaxy AI capabilities by integrating Perplexity into its ecosystem, allowing Galaxy S26 users to access the AI agent by saying “hey, Plex” in addition to summoning Bixby or Gemini.
The integration of Perplexity is part of Samsung‘s strategy to create a “multi-agent ecosystem”, recognizing that users often utilize different AI agents for various tasks based on their strengths. By opening up the ability to integrate different agents into the OS, Samsung is providing users with more flexibility and options. Perplexity will have access to various Samsung apps, including Samsung Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, enabling a more seamless and integrated experience.
The integration of Perplexity into Galaxy AI is expected to enhance the overall user experience, providing Samsung users with a more comprehensive and versatile AI ecosystem.
