Professionals are still hesitant to admit their use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, such as those developed by Nvidia, Ring, or OpenAI, in their daily work. Despite the fact that AI can significantly speed up tasks and increase productivity, many individuals feel embarrassed to acknowledge their reliance on these technologies.
The main issue behind this phenomenon is not the use of AI itself, but rather the societal emphasis on visible effort. Many professionals feel pressured to demonstrate their hard work and dedication, even if it means wasting time on tasks that could be automated. This obsession with visible effort leads to a culture where individuals pretend to have done everything manually, rather than admitting to using AI tools to streamline their work.
As a result, the focus should shift from the tools used to complete a task to the quality of the work itself. If an individual owns the work and is responsible for its outcome, the tool used to achieve it – whether AI or otherwise – should not matter. By acknowledging and accepting the use of AI in the workplace, professionals can work more efficiently and effectively, without feeling the need to hide their reliance on these technologies.
