Apple will end support for the original HomeKit architecture on February 10, 2026, which may cause smart home devices to no longer work in the Home app on Apple devices.

The change will primarily affect users who still use an iPad as their Apple Home Hub, as iPads are no longer supported as hubs in the new Apple Home architecture.

A HomePod or Apple TV will be required to serve as a hub, and devices connected to the Home will need to run iOS 16 or later.
